A story
Apallo’s story
“Thud” Apallo pilled the books back onto the cart and took them to the write shelf, Apallo had always been fascinated by books, that was why he was working at the imperial library in the city of bloodstone, he was a good friend of the prince himself as the king made the prince read books as he wished his son to be intelligent, Prince Zamo hated reading books and thought they were useless, so he spent his time talking to Apallo for knowledge to impress his father, a short cut, Apallo had already noticed this but did not mind as his job wasn’t the most exciting anyway, and this is what convinces Zamo to hire Apallo as his advisor.
5 years later
“Apallo my trusted advisor what do you suggest we do about the growing problem of bandits in our country?” Apallo answered “ sir I suggest that we dispatch a special task force of guards to keep the road safe from the bandits” “thank you Apallo my father will be pleased” Prince Zamo left the room and Apallo let out a sigh. Apallo had not left the castle since he worked in the library because he had to spend all his time following Prince Zamo, Apallo did not mind as he knew what he was doing was helping his country. Apallo then left to follow the prince
Back in his bed chamber the prince was very annoyed his father had not even talked about his subject he was to busy talking to some of his messengers. Just then the king knocked on the princes door “ son we must talk” the king talked with his son for a while outside and when Zamo came back he looked a little angry but a little happy, in his hand he held a small painting “ Apallo my friend what do make of this woman?” Apallo took they picture and studied it “ if I must say my friend she is quite the beauty” “ yes Apallo yes she is. This is to be my wife. In an agreement our two great nations will join in our together through our marriage” “ good for you sir” said Apallo. That night oblivious to Apallo a woman was walking with a guard force to great them, this woman would change Apallo for the rest of his life
The next day the woman arrived, her name was Minerva she was a messenger of princess Vesta, Zamo’s soon to be wife, IN Apallo’s eyes she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, but Prince Zamo did not see it. Minerva was nervous, Apallo could tell. “So Minerva what is princess Vesta like?” Prince Zamo continued with these questions. Apallo head was in the clouds all he could look at was Minerva’s beautiful face, her bright smile and her mesmerizing eyes, When the Prince’s questions stopped he said one last thing “ Please servant of princess Vesta would you deliver this to her?” it was a solid titanium ring with a bloodstone in the middle, Apallo could see Minerva’s amazement, “ I shall give this to my princess Prince Zamo” she looked up at Apallo and he smiled, Apallo could see her blush and when she turned away Apallo could see her smile. “ Weird one she is” said prince Zamo said, “ I like her” said Apallo and her pictured her smile, shining like stars in the night.
The marriage was arranged but this time it was not Minerva that came, Apallo was sad. He could not bear to wait to see her again. He knew that she was the one, the love of his life and somehow he knew that she felt the same.
It was the first time in years that Apallo had left the castle grounds, the prince gave him a lot of money and his sizes and told to go and get him a suit made from the best tailor in town. Apallo walked down the street enjoying having some freedom at the moment. Once he had ordered the suit he had just enough to buy on more thing a ring, it was not as nice as the ring that the prince had given the princess but it did have one thing that he knew she would like, a bloodstone, not big but it was extremely beautiful. Apallo returned with the suit but did not tell the prince about the ring.
The wedding day had come and Apallo couldn’t remember being happier or busier. He had arranged almost everything that had to do with the ceremony. Now all he had to do was wait. After the marriage ceremony everyone gathered in the great hall and was talking about the marriage and everyone was pleased. Then something happened Minerva was serving a drink to her majesty when she spilt it on Vesta’s dress Prince Zamo yelled “ YOU WITCH YOU RUINED MY WIFE’S DREES” and unleashed a powerful punch to the side of Minerva’s face. Minerva feel to the floor out cold, from the side lines Apallo who had never really gotten mad fumed, he went red with rage his face looked like a fire from hell, the glass he held in his hand shattered as he squeezed the glass cutting into his hand but he felt nothing, as soon as the first drop of his blood hit the floor he had already pulled a sword from the wall with amazing strength. He walked across the hall a struck Zamo’s heart blood formed a pool around his body as he fell to the floor. The room fell silent everyone had stopped as princess Vesta wept and pulled the weapon from her husbands dead body and stabbed herself her sobbing stopped as she too fell to the floor in a pool of blood and tears. Apallo walked over and picked up Minerva’s unconscious body and left. He never wished to return.
Three days later Minerva awakened in a hospital with something in her pocket it was a note with a ring attached the note said “ This note is from Apallo advisor of the deceased prince Zamo. Anyway I now live in the nearby village of Oakfield when you feel better come stop by I think that we might have a lot to talk about. Love Apallo”
Minerva smiled and slept. Two days later she went to Apallo’s house and he gave her the full story after hearing that they both said nothing until Minerva started to weep and Apallo held her in his arms as she cried into his shoulder, the hug seemed to last forever just as they had wished when they first set eyes upon each other. And they lived happy ever after.
